Everything is custom created for AHS members. For real, no one else touches this stuff, unless you’re the sharing type. In 2024 we’ll release 9 unique and delicious barrel-aged beers in 375 mL cork-and-cage bottles — 36 bottles total! Bonus: there’s an exclusive 750 mL bottle in your welcome kit.

A Taste Of Alpha Hop Society

Moist Coconut is an accurate name; this beer is a spoonful of coconut cream pie. We absolutely packed Four Roses barrels with toasted coconut, sprinkled in some New Zealand vanilla bean powder, and piped in a stout brewed with lactose and its own dose of toasted coconut.
The 2024 membership pricing* was based on two tiers:
$300 – Beer Only Membership
All beer releases and member benefits, but no access to the three member-only parties hosted at our breweries throughout the year.
$500 – Full Membership
All beer releases and member benefits, as well as admission to the three member-only parties, which includes a plus-one guest.

We open sign-ups for Alpha Hop Society at the end of each year. Add your name to our waiting list to ensure you get a heads up!
Alpha Hop Society beers are extremely limited and rare — truly only available to members.
Members can pick up their Alpha Hop Society releases for free at either our Chico, CA brewery or Mills River, NC brewery. Members can also assign a proxy to pick up beer on their behalf.
For an extra cost, members can direct ship their AHS beer to approved states: CA, DC, KY, NC, ND, NE, NH, OH, PA, VA, VT.
We can ship Alpha Hop Society beer to members for an additional cost to the following approved states: CA, DC, KY, NC, ND, NE, NH, OH, PA, VA, VT. Due to legal reasons, we are unable to ship to other states.
We established the Alpha Hop Society in 2016 as our budding barrel-aging program started turning heads with creative, delicious beers.
